Terremoto Facts

TERREMOTO was birthed in July, 1994 and organized by Roland Ashby of Strategic Alliance Ministries International (S.A.M.I.). Over 150 U.S. young people met their counterparts in the Dominican Republic. The following year Youth- quake was held in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and increased in numbers to over 300 young people from Mexico and the United States. In 1996, Youthquake became known as TERREMOTO (Spanish for earthquake) and was held in Irapuato, Mexico. Now hundreds of Mexicans and Americans join forces in Aguascalientes, Mexico to shake the na-tion for Jesus! TERREMOTO continues to impact the lives of young people from Mexico and the United States. Nigeria has also hosted a TERREMOTO team and future plans are to send a multicultural team to Turkey and expand to other parts of the world.

Terremoto Vision

God said, If we would create a vehicle for diferent cultures to come together, as they work together and play to- gether, pray together and worship together, learn together and then reach out and share the Gospel together, walls that Satan has built separating the cultures would crumble and fall and the Holy Spirit would do a special work, cross culturally, among the body of Christ. Over the years thousands of Mexicans have been saved! American and Mexican campers have been saved! Many young people have committed their lives to full time missionary service and are now living and working in countries all over the world. Everyone who attends TERREMOTO is awakened to their role in the Great Commission and cross-cultural missions.
